The James Park House

Gulf & Ohio Offices, James Park House

In January 2007, Gulf & Ohio moved into their new office in downtown Knoxville, the James Park House. Named after Rev. James Park Jr., it is the oldest structure in Knoxville on its original foundation.

The original foundation was build in 1790 by Governor John Sevier and the building was finished in 1812.

Gulf & Ohio Railways purchased the home 2003 and began a multi year renovation plan to return the building to its original look and feel. The house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
